AC/DC Live Rock Band Track Pack
Walmart Exclusive, $39.99

AC/DC, one of the biggest and most well-known rock bands in the world brings their legendary act to Harmonix's "Rock Band" franchise with a standalone expansion of 18 live recordings. This is the same concert featured in the excellent "Live at Donington" DVD, so on top of having AC/DC songs to play, you get all the extra live badassery that goes along with it.

As live recordings, these songs are a little bit different than the original studio versions. Some are faster, but most are just longer. "Jailbreak" for example clocks in at over 10 minutes. But it's AC/DC, so it kicks ass. Pure and simple.

So while the gameplay itself is excellent, it's the presentation where this track pack is lacking. You boot up the game, type in your name and that's pretty much it. There's no customization whatsoever. You are assigned characters to play in a single venue through all the 18 songs in order. That's it.

Since the gameplay is great, it's hard to knock it too much but it really would've been great if the characters or the venue had been modeled after the real band or the concert instead. Nope. Luckily, the songs can be exported into Rock Band or Rock Band 2 and added to your playlists there, allowing you to add in your own characters and venues.

Not much else to say - AC/DC Rock Band. It's Rock Band, which is awesome, and AC/DC which is awesome. So, double awesome.

What happens if you smash your Guitar Hero guitar against the floor and light it on fire? Is there a special "bonus point" mode for instrument destruction?
